"This trip to Japan was not only connect to some of the roots of our system Tsutsumi Hozan Ryu with Hombu Dojo but as important an instructor to embrace the challenge of teaching as is to discovering that sharing knowledge deepens my understanding of techniques and principles of our system of Jujutsu and its origins. Learning to adapt my communication style in order to reach diverse students over the years, recognising that everyone has uniquddde learning needs.
For my own self development as an instructor, I look for opportunities to enhance my skills. This is why I am in Japan to attend various workshops and seminars, learning various adaptions of our martial arts origins and philosophies. The intent is to broadened my perspective and enriched my teaching, allowing me to integrate diverse techniques into my classes and therefore my students."
